| Details: | Provide technical assistance to users of computer and other electronic equipment provided by corporation in addition to its software. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for staff in person, via telephone or from remote location. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Other duties may be assigned as determined by the IT Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ø Must have excellent communication skills relating information to staff and management using telephone, email or in person. Ø Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. Ø Oversee the daily performance of computer systems. Ø Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software. Ø Read technical manuals, confer with staff, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support. Ø Confer with staff and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications. Ø Train staff in the proper use of hardware and software. Ø Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems. QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate shall: Ø Have valid driver’s license Ø Have a valid passport or obtain one within 2 months of hire. Ø Ability to travel on short notice, for periods ranging from hours to a couple weeks both domestically and international. Ø Ability to think and act dynamically in a constantly changing and fast-paced commercial atmosphere with confidence and professionalism. Ø The individual must have at least 2 years’ experience in 1st Line Support and may have limited exposure on 2nd and 3rd line support. Must have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Accreditation MCSE or CCNA or progress toward these accreditations are preferred. |
